Consideration means that the party being requested to do something receives something of value in return. It may not be par value for what the party is asked to do, but there has to be something.<br /><br />Unless they are offering you something in return, the agreement is completely unenforceable and a waste of time. It is hard for me to believe that they would ask you to sign away any rights without something in return like a severance package.<br /><br />Consult your lawyer, but in my view the agreement is meaningless. If there really is nothing of value being promised to you, that is a shock.
